Established in 1982, the foundation operates six residential communities across Ireland—in Ballyroan, Dalkey, Holycross, Kilminchy, Nenagh, and Carlow—and supports its mission through 26 charity shops nationwide. Role Purpose

The Finance Manager will lead financial operations and strategy, ensuring compliance with Irish regulations and supporting the foundation’s sustainability. This role combines hands-on financial management with strategic input to enable the organisation to deliver its mission effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Reporting
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and monthly management accounts.
  • Monitor cash flow and financial performance.
• Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure adherence to Irish tax laws, Charities Regulatory Authority requirements, and Housing Agency standards.
  • Manage annual audits and statutory accounts.
• Operational Finance
  • Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Implement robust internal controls and risk management processes.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Liaise with auditors, funders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide financial data for grant applications and Board reports.

Person Specification

• Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant (or equivalent).
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a finance management role, ideally in the NGO or housing sector.
• Skills: Strong analytical ability, proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero), and excellent communication skills.
• Attributes: Strategic thinker, detail-oriented, committed to the foundation’s mission.

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive salary (€43,000–€60,000 depending on experience).
